Texture Tests


An idea I had been going with was to have minimal environment inside Bob's house as the focus was only on the characters (I felt this would bring them out more). I decided to drop that idea as my tests weren't to my satisfaction and just simply texture the walls and floors instead.
1. show's the texture applied with transparency 
2. was me taking out the render and adding a background in after effect 
3. is the texture simply applied

Animation is well on the way and the shots from the TV are now complete, replacing the Tom and Jerry sequences and shopping channel section I had in my animation.

Major Project: Bob's Blendshapes and Animation Tests

I added extra controls for Bob, so he could act accordingly in the scenes I storyboarded. I used Blendshapes to push his polygons, the scene I was most worried about was when he drops and slides to the plate of food, so with a little help I did an animation test just to see if the Blendshapes were working convincingly.

I just revisited the assets I made earlier to make everything a little more caricature, so did a few doodles for reference, all the assets in my animations are modelled.

Major Project: Animatic Sample

I've been working with Giacomo Rita for the sound design of the animation, we settled on a theme during the Minor project so the idea was to take this and expand on it in the animation, this is a sample of what it would sound like. I only have this section because there will be some minor changes in terms of timing and selected scenes.

Minor Project - Brief Update

Rigging




The plan for my character rigs at the moment is to have them functioning on a basic level so they can be ready in to be rendered out as Turnarounds, it is essential to have working facial rigs for both characters so the final video shows off their characteristics, this does mean however that the first couple weeks in the major would be spent plusing the rigs, getting them ready for animation

Animatic


The Sound Effects are nearly finalised, this is just an update on changes I made to the beginning and ending of the story, this video is what I sent to the artist who would is composing music for the animation, this is why a TimeCode SMPTE and an initial countdown is included in the video



Turnaround


I also sent a sort previs of my Turnaround, I could have the same musical feeling from the animatic in the Turnarounds
