Fantastic Voyage - Journey to the Nucleus Pre Viz

Here a Pre Visualization of my Final Animation, the Final peice is about ready to go... I'm just experimentating with the beginning and end of the animation, trying to decide which works better; live footage or drawn out frames, I like the idea of being in a 2D world for a second and getting transported into this somewhat lucid dream of the tired student, but at the same time having reality transitioning into a 3D environment would work well, at the end it'll be down to which ever looks better...

The Final Animation might have a change in music also, I cut down long cut outs of the animation which was vividly present in the Animatic, but the animation seems to be longer, I might have been listening to it for too long, but I feel it doesn't have the same effect the Animatic, when the music reach it's brink point nothing spectacular is happening..

Fantastic Voyage - Pre Viz development

These are two test camera's for my nucleus reveal at the end, the idea is to have them edited together to produce a seamless footage...

Fantastic Voyage - Modelling Mitochondria

I went back to draw out what I wanted the Mitochondria to look like, I experimented a little I'm sticking with the more Sci-fi version when it comes to texturing

I modeled the Mitochondria organelle with Nurb Circles and an EP Curve I then used the Loft tool to flesh it out and I animated it with deformers...not final yet but this is very close to how i want it to be animated

Fantastic Voyage - Pre Viz development

This was an early test  on visualizing how the nucleus reveal would look like, it looks a lot different from this now, because the is a focus on each organelle and the terrain is very different now

This is an early test on how my camera would work, as stated on my previous blog post there would no longer be a rotation of the camera; until the point where the main organelles are revealed most of the movement through the cell would be movement from left to right whilst going forward

EDIT/UPDATE: TO be clear I wont be going with this, this is just a test cam I made early on in the process. this was a failed test and I have now scraped with idea and like say above, the camera would only be moving from left to right, until the big reveal of the Nucleus
